theater van buiten naar binnen

Een programma dat buiten begint en binnen vervolgd, zoals het theaterfestival in Avignon

Combination Worlds

01 Music It begins in Dipolog City where I know a mandolin orchestra I've been in regular contact. I enjoyed the interaction which could come about in an uncomplicated manner. I enjoyed the music, but also the enthusiasm which a simple teacher from Dipolog wanted to teach his students to make music together.

02 Dance In a difficult and stressful time of my life.  I give the image of the more than 50 neighbors in a studio that I had in the city Zoetermeer. They supported me very often and regularly invited me to be together with them. Then we ate and drank together. I saw how a culture that I don't know very well often could form a unit, simply because they're all danced throughout the building. Not difficult, even very simple and the power was just that they did it together. You see how they had broadened into the hall so they could dance in a circle even larger space. Many of them were refugees from Kurdistan that I regularly in the city Zoetermeer encountered and then they greeted me always friendly and they said, `hi neighbor` Regularly I took time for them and I sit down with them for a while and then we spoke about their faith and traditions. So it touch me, that they use good traditions and they had often a very special approach in their tradition when someone was die. Certainly people can take an example by this.                                                                                                                                              03 Water Water movement (the branding) I film the water, the sea, the surf and wide of the sunset that people can fuse together.

04 Theater One of the best theater companies in the Netherlands was directed by the Belgian Dirk Tanghe. On the floor there is a puzzling one, an extremely patient work that I recognize many of the residents in the Dutch care where I came to accompany them. Often people who could pull off large relaxation here. The fit and measuring something that will ultimately be an entirely sex. A philosophical picture that I am extremely turned on.           Then the stage director in the background that can make so much about what he wants weathered donkey calibration, contrast beautifully, I think.(I zoom in on a very strong play text:)

PLAYED HAS BEEN A LIE AND THATS WHY IT IS THEATRE

AND PLAY A LIE, THAT IS WHAT WE LOVE (Amazing how this is put down)

05 Growing up in the Philippines After that I go back to Dipolog City (more as 100 000 inhabitants and I will show the daily streets without traffic lights on a busy intersection. Then in the metropolis Manila (more as 10 million people), the little girl Kareyn May. She is a relative of mine and shows me the life in the metropolis of  Manila.

06 Visual arts A visual artist speaks. My fellow colleague painter Al, answer me the question what is trust. I was already a film on this subject, but fill it continues with special interviews.

07 Politics Then I turn to the politics of Europe. There were protests in Europe and I was free that day invited to spend a day in Paris. I wanted to do with the thought that I will be sure to my friend Al could go along. The reason unions are diverse and are often very nice people, often with their own humor.

08 Education In visual arts, I often taught to children. Here is a small picture of a school where I was teaching in Rotterdam. I he taught at a school cluster 4 and that means there could be more attention to disadvantaged children in the usual model of lesson. Because I often myself even weaker which can feel I did give it a lot of fun to teach there.

09 Politics A leader of the Dutch trade union movement talks about the European leaders. It's about the crisus. The Government had to understand that it was not a financial crisis but a humanitarian crisis. Therefore, a need existed for a social Europe. (and the union leader was joking to tell that he was thinking about his lunchbox that moment)

10 Zoo The combination of worlds I had then also equally think of peaceful eating animals, an image that I took in a collective outing of my work in the care Animals Bark Rhenen. Here I met also playing monkeys.

11 Music In Zoetermeer  I was definitely fascinated by drumming boys and girls who often went with a full passion for it. Rotterdam took care of this group include the summer carnival through the streets. Together drumming is difficult, but very cool and I know from experience.
